SPENDRUPS SIGNATUR BEER
Today, more consumers are focusing on the environmental impact of their purchasing decisions, and sustainability is always top of mind. Spendrups is the largest brewery in Sweden, founded in 1897 by the Spendrups family. They have invested heavily in renewable energy, and wanted to launch a new brew called Spendrups Sigantur.
The beer is a modern light premium lager brewed from Swedish malt grain that was produced in collaboration with Lantmännen (a Swedish agricultural cooperative owned by 19,000 local farmers) and their cultivation program Klimat & Natur. The new brew combines Spendrup's 100-year experience in the art of brewing, together with more sustainable cultivation methods of the future - with the aim of brewing for future generations.
My design focused on the responsibly grown ingredients that go into creating the new brew. Traditional elements are a nod towards the craft and heritage of the brand, balanced by a more modern layout of the ingredients (hops and barley). Not forgetting the celebration of 100 years of the company's founder Louis Gustaf Herbert Spendrup and his art of brewing.
